salutations!

Yes.

Yes, I am that Fulmerford.

You are wondering about the novels.

There has been talk of a modest reprint

but of that I must (as they say in my country)

"Hold the gloves

while the clouds pass us by."

A few clarifying notes:

1. I have never used pen names.

2. I have not been writing letters to any periodicals under clever pseudonyms.

3. I am not interested in speaking engagements.

4. I will not endorse a popular soft drink, as deliriously reported in the Times.

5. I am not interested in visitors.

6.a  I have no desire to speak of my former publisher, or of former colleagues.

6.b  Not even if you are working on a thesis or a biography.

7. I will not sign books sent by post, or presented to me while I'm at the market. Nor photographs.

8. I have never marched for or against anything.

9. I am not Russian.

10. I ghost-wrote some screenplays, but never had a part (as legend has it) in that disgraceful sequel.

If you are working on a paper

please consult

any good library,

where various monographs must still lie about.

Other sources include the 1924 edition of the Britannica,

the 1928 edition of Who's Who in American Literature

and the 1955 Orbis Guide to Fulmerfordiana.

Any requests for information

commonly available on any one of those basic reference guides

will be ignored -- happily ignored -- by yours truly.

My enthusiastic and amateur readers

are proudly directed

to the

Fulmerford Club,

wherein they'll find assorted trivia

(along with an incomplete bibliography)

on yours truly.
